How To Login to Calendar Applications





Oracle Calendar Desktop Client

User Name = jmustang@calpoly.edu Cal Poly User name Defined
Password = Cal Poly Password Cal Poly Password Defined


If you do not know your Cal Poly Password, instructions to create one are at the Password Help Web site.
You may also contact the Service Desk at 756-7000.

If you are prompted for an Off-line agenda password enter your OLD calendar password. See the Desktop Client Off-line Agenda Password instructions for more information.

If you receive an "Incorrect Node" error, follow the instructions below to correct the problem.

  1. Launch Oracle Calendar.
  2. At the login screen click on Other.
  3. Select New to configure a connection to the calendar server.
  4. Type in a connection name, such as Oracle Calendar.
  5. Type in calendar.calpoly.edu for the server and click Lookup.
  6. Check to make sure the Node is specified as 750 . Use the drop-down arrow to select 750 if necessary.
  7. The default settings for Authentication, Compression and Encryption will be set
    automatically and no changes are required.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Select the newly created connection from the list and click Make Default.
  10. Click OK to return to the login screen.
  11. Type in your Cal Poly Username (jmustang@calpoly.edu) and password to login.

Oracle Calendar Web Client

  1. Start a Web browser application (IE, Firefox, Safari.)
  2. Go to the My Cal Poly Web portal page.
  3. Login with your Cal Poly Username and Password.

From the Single Click Channel on the Main Staff tab or Main Faculty tab, select the GO button next to Oracle Electronic Calendar.


Outlook Calendar with Oracle Connector for Outlook (OCFO)

  1. Start Outlook
  2. The Oracle Collaboration Suite CALENDAR prompt is displayed.
  3. In the Account Name field, enter your Cal Poly Username (for example: jmustang@calpoly.edu.)
  4. Enter your Cal Poly Password.
  5. If present, remove the checkmark next to Save this password in your password list.
  6. Press the OK button.
  7. If prompted, select Node 750.
  8. The Oracle Collaboration Suite Incoming E-mail (IMAP4) prompt is displayed.
  9. In the Account Name field, enter your Cal Poly Username (for example, jmustang)
  10. Enter your Cal Poly Password.
  11. If present, remove the checkmark next to Save this password in your password list.
  12. Press the OK button.

Off-line Agenda in the Oracle Calendar Desktop Client

  1. Launch Oracle Desktop Client application.
  2. In the Oracle Desktop Sign on screen Connect To box, click the down arrow.
  3. Select Off-Line.
  4. User Name is your First Name Last Name.
  5. Enter your off-line password. This will be the same as your OLD Calendar password if you did not match these passwords with the Cal Poly password prior 5:00 pm on Friday, January 1/21/05.
  6. Go to Tool > Change Password.
  7. Enter your old password (the one you just used to log into the off-line agenda).
  8. Enter your new Cal Poly password.
  9. Retype the Cal Poly Password to confirm it.
  10. EXIT the Off-line agenda.
  11. Relaunch the Oracle Desktop Client application.
  12. In the Oracle Desktop Sign on screen Connect To box, click the down arrow.
  13. Select the Calendar option (See Installation Instructions if you have questions about configurations)
  14. Enter your Cal Poly User name and Cal Poly Password
