If you receive an Off-line agenda password prompt and do not know the
Off-line password then you must follow the instructions below to delete
the old password files stored on your local computer.
The two files you
need to delete are: XTMLOCAL.DAT and XTMLOCAL.NDX. These files are
typically located in the C:\Documents and Settings\[profilename]\Application
Data\[ foldername], where [foldername] may be Steltor, CTS,
or Oracle. The location may be different
depending on your workstations' configuration.
- Log off Oracle Calendar desktop client if it is open.
- From Start button select Search > For Files
and Folders
- If necessary, select All Files and Folders from the Navigation menu
on the left.
- Select More advanced options.
- Check the box next to Search hidden
files and folders.
- In the Look in field, select Local Hard Drives (C:)
- In the All or part of filename field, enter XTM*.*
- Click the Search button.
- Delete the XTMLOCAL.DAT and XTMLOCAL.NDX files, these files contain
the local password and calendar information.
- Launch the Oracle Calendar application.
- Sign in with your Cal Poly Username and Password.
- You will be prompted to create
a new Off-line agenda.
- Click the Yes button to complete the application setup.
- Log off Oracle Calendar desktop client if it is open.
- To turn on viewing of
hidden files and folders, open My Computer.
- Go to Tools > Folder Options > View and select 'Show
Hidden Files and Folders'.
- Perform a Search for all files beginning with XTM (XTM*.*) on your
Local Harddrive C:\.
- Delete the XTMLOCAL.DAT and XTMLOCAL.NDX files, these files contain
the local password and calendar information.
- Launch the Oracle Calendar application.
- Sign in with your Cal Poly Username and Password.
- You will be prompted to create
a new Off-line agenda.
- Click the Yes button to complete the application
setup.
