Additional Information
-If a six character password was successfully created via the Password Manager it is a valid Cal Poly password. (As of today any newly created password created via the Password Manager will require eight characters.) The 8 character password requirement became effective April 2004.
-A valid Cal Poly password will be required to log into the new Oracle Calendar Server and the new Oracle Email server.
-The Central UNIX password is not the same as the Cal Poly password. Some users may be able to log into the Cal Poly portal using their UNIX password. These users must go to the Cal Poly Password Manager to create a valid Cal Poly password. Instructions to create a Cal Poly Password are located at the Password Help website.
If you are not sure if you have a valid Cal Poly password contact the Service Desk at 756-7000.
